Day 01 : Fly over panoramic Himalayan Ranges from Kathmandu to Gonggar airport of Tibet by Air China flight CA408 at 10.25am (Local Time). Just in 55 minutes (At 13.45pm also Local Time), your foot steps on Roof of the World. Transfer 45km from airport to Lhasa (3650m), capital city of Tibet. Check in hotel and a complete rest for acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Visit Potala palace (Winter Palace of Dalai Lama, now more a museum than a palace), Drepung Monastery (The largest monastery in Tibet as well as in the world, once harboured 10000 monks although as a rule, it was to house 7700 monks) and Bharkhor Market (The ancient and largest market in Tibet). : Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Visit Sera Monastery (The second biggest monastery in Tibet, famous for it horse-necked Hayagriva), Jolkhang Temple (The most sacred and oldest temple in Tibet, built particularly for the enshrinement of the Sakyamuni image) and Norbulingkha Palace (Summer Palace of Dalai Lama where it is possible to visit his private apartment). : Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Transfer from hotel to airport and fly back to Kathmandu by CA407 at 10.15am (Local Time) which arrives Trivuwan International Airport of Nepal in Kathmandu at 09.25am (Local Time). : END OF SERVICE. |
